A Quick Note to Parents

As you go through the intake paperwork and practice documents, please understand the questions about yourself and family/household dynamics are designed to help me get to know your child better, and are not meant to judge you in any way. I already know you are a dedicated and loving parent just by the fact that you are here seeking help for your child!

I know you are going through something hard right now with your child. At Full Bloom Counseling we believe that every family deserves to thrive. 

And you know your child better than anyone! Your bond is special. You know when they are thriving and when they are just surviving. 

This is a big part of why I recommend and believe wholeheartedly in involving parents' (through parenting sessions) for clients ages 10 and younger. It gives you the tools you will need at home to help your child through their hard time, while still allowing them their one-on-one sessions to explore their individual strengths and challenges.

You have healing powers for your child, in your touch and your boo-boo kisses. And it is heartbreaking when you can't just kiss their emotions-rocking meltdowns, trauma, debilitating anxiety, or negavtive beliefs of themselves away. 

That is where counseling comes in. Designed to empower families to overcome challenges, improve communication, and build stronger relationships, counseling at Full Bloom makes the path to healing easier to see and walk on.
