When creating Full Bloom Counseling, I gave a lot of thought to you, my clients. I believe every person deserves to discover their best self and live that self as their truth!
I have expertise in diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, different approaches and methodologies of counseling, etc.--and I do not discount the value of my knowledge. But you are the key to your growth! You are the expert on you and your family; I promise to honor that as I go on this journey to healing with you.
I promise to do everything within Full Bloom Counseling with integrity and a smile. I will always answer your updates promptly, and research and consult on anything I am unsure about to ensure best practices for you.
I also like to create tailor made "homework" for you to use between sessions, to honor your individuality and unique circumstances.
I chose to create a home office, opposed to a more clinical office setting, with the intention of creating a welcoming, familiar environment where my clients feel encouraged to bloom. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive place for anyone entering my office to explore their strengths and challenges, and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Hi, my name is Hannah and please let me welcome you to Full Bloom Counseling. A little bit about me--some of my simple joys include making my son laugh, traveling when I am able, reading novels or listening to true crime podcasts, hiking and/or kayaking if the weather permits it, cooking from scratch, and cuddling my fur babies!
I received my Bachelors degrees from the University of Arizona, and my Masters of Counseling degree from Ottawa University. I have been working in the mental health field the last 6+ years, first as a behavior specialist in another private practice where I worked one-on-one with children, teens, adults, and families on a variety of goals.
Before that I worked in education as a teacher and later as a school administrator. Because of this, I have a strong working knowledge of the classroom environment, available interventions, and the IEP/504 Plan process. Working with children and parents as a teacher is what brought me to this line of work and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
I love what I do and believe in the power of therapy. I know from years of experience, including getting therapy for myself, that it can benefit anyone willing to put in the work. And it is work!
The core of my counseling philosophy is client-centered, focusing around the therapeutic alliance between the client and counselor. I do not think any good, effective therapy can come out of a therapeutic relationship where the client feels uncomfortable or misunderstood.
So, while yes there will likely be some sessions that are hard and bring up big emotions within you (to create space for healing), I want therapy to be a place you enjoy going to grow in your understanding of yourself.
Developing true rapport with you, listening to your story to get a fuller understanding of who you are and your circumstances for coming to counseling, and collaborating on personalized coping skills to help you in your situation right now are some of my first priorities when you come to counseling.
I am trained in many different counseling methodologies and therapeutic techniques. The following are some differnt types of therapy that I am trained in, and tend to use with my clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Counseling, Rational-Emotive Therapy, Behavioral approaches, Expressive Arts Therapy, and other intergrative approaches.
